Wow, what an experience. Rafting down the Colorado River was one of the most exhilarating things I’ve ever done. We started off by getting into our wet suits, some we cold and uncomfortable, but the lucky people got the dry suits. Then, we got our helmets and then our booties. Once that was settled, we got onto the buses and drove toward the Gorge, or for the younger boys Big Horn. But the fun doesn’t start until we got on the water, rafting down the life threatening rapids and the dangerous rocks. The only thing that bothered most of us was the temperature. The water was freezing! So getting splashed didn’t help the cold, it made it worse. But being tired was the best part because it took no time at all to go sleep.
